After completing her BTec in Photography and Difital Imaging at Thames Valley University in London in 2005, she was recognized in the Olmec Student Photographer of the year awards.

In 2006 Gayle returned to Toronto to attend Loyalist College Photojournalism course, receiving her diploma the following year. She has worked in UK for STASH magazine, the Army Air Corps and the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment. While completing her internship at HELLO magazine Canada she continued to freelance for the Belleville Intelligencer, the Brighton Independent and the Mississauga News.


Currently working for PhotoSensitive as the project coordinator, she also continues to work as a freelance photographer.
